Cards Fall 6-3 In Marathon Game VS Pirates

It was the longest game in MLB this season…6-3 Cards loss in 19 innings,The Cards had a 2-0 lead after a Carlos Beltran 2 rbi double but the Bucs would rally to tie the game taking advantage of an error on Cardinals pitcher Jamie Garcia, who made his return after a long stint on the DL.

The Pirates would take a 3-2 lead in the 17th only to see the Cards tie it up again, but in the 19th it was all black and yellow.

Pedro Alvarez homered in the 19th inning, and Andrew McCutchen added insurance with a two-run single to give the Pirates a 6-3 marathon win over the Cardinals.
