The Wooden Award Finalists were trimmed to 25 Thursday and two Missouri players survived the cut.Phil Pressey and Lawrence Bowers were both named as finalists for the award, given annually to the top player in college basketball.
Missouri was one of three teams to have multiple finalists along with Duke and Kansas. The Jayhawks were represented by Jeff Withey and Ben McLemore. Duke saw Seth Curry and Mason Plumlee as finalists.
Bowers, who is currently out with a MCL sprain, leads the team in scoring with 16.8 points per game. Pressey is one of the top assist men in the game, leading the Tigers with 7.6 assists per game.
