Missouri forward Laurence Bowers became the first Tiger to win SEC Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for his past week’s efforts.
Bowers averaged 17 points per game in his two contests, including leading the Tigers with 23 points in Missouri’s Saturday night win over Illinois. The senior also surpassed 1,000 points in his career with his 11-point effort against South Carolina State.
Bowers leads the Tigers in scoring, on pace for his highest average of his career at 16.9 points per game.
